Levels of Care

Nursing Facility (NF) provides continual medical care for a wide variety of resident needs. Services include physical, occupational and speech therapies with supervision and assistance for residents in reaching or maintaining their optimum level of functioning. The Nursing Facility staff also assists residents in improving grooming habits, housekeeping skills and social skills.

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) provides a more intensive medical program for residents whose needs require it. Medicare and Medicaid approved services include: IV therapies, physical, occupational and speech therapies, wound management and enteral nutrition programs.

Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR) provides a comprehensive, highly structured program designed to facilitate maximum independence in all facets of residential life. Emphasis is in the areas of self-help skills, motor skills, academic/vocational training, age appropriate leisure skills, communication/socialization skills, health maintenance and behavior services. On-site and off-site vocational opportunities are available. Programming is developed for each resident based on their individual strengths and needs. ICF/MR is a 32 bed facility serving profound to mild (other related disabilities, i.e., Autism, Down Syndrome, etc.), dually diagnosed individuals. Age range includes child to adult. Staff to client ratio = 1:3, 1:4. Professional staff consists of a Program Manager (degree required), Support Services Specialists, Program Supervisor/Assistance, Nursing – RN, LPN (licensure), Direct Care (staff) and Consultants in area of Speech, OT, PT, Psychology.
